I played the first in college, never beat it, then played 2 but not 3 or Code Veronica. 4, 5, 6 I played, but not Operation: Raccoon City. Etc.etc. And while complaints never cease about this beloved franchise, I find the games to be very entertaining. I take them as they are and never compare 5 to 1 or anything. Revelations 2 is fun. Claire's path has been more action-oriented these first few weeks while Barry's is quieter. (No ammo at the end of episode 2 sucked!) And while I'd played Raid Mode before, its version in RE:R2 is just brilliant. There's plenty to do and I'm having a blast. So, why not write a brief unlockable guide? This document will assume you know something about Raid Mode and I'm not here to teach you ANY basics, really. This is just for unlockables. There are some FAQs at the very end, so you might want to start there. Otherwise, please drop me a line if you can fill in the blanks to anything. I'm good at writing FAQs, not quite as good at videogames! Oh....SPOILERS!!! Please don't get angry after finding out hidden secrets when looking at a hidden secrets document! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= II: Characters =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I believe there will be a total of 15 playable characters in Raid mode. These vary from standard characters to unlockable fighters to purchase-only (real- world cash!) Character Unlock Method Prerequisite --------- ------------- ------------ Claire Redfield -Available From Start- Barry Burton -Available From Start- Moira Burton -Available From Start- Gina -Available From Start- Albert Wesker DLC Only ($2.49 USD) Hunk DLC Only ($2.49 USD) (or Season Pass) Chris Redfield Own Episode 3 Unlockable Characters --------------------- Jill Valentine 10 Completion Medallions Leon Kennedy 20 Completion Medallions Episode 2 Cipher 90 Completion Medallions Pedro Complete Episode 2 Episode 2 Gabe Complete Episode 2 Episode 2 Neil Complete Episode 3 Episode 3 Upcoming Characters (Somewhat speculative, but probably right!) ------------------- Ada Wong Alex Wesker Sherry Birken -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= III: Gauntlets =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You start off in Revelations 2 with a few stages to complete but very soon you succumb to the addictive nature of this type of game! Fortunately for you there are a TON of stages and gauntlets to appease you. In order to unlock future gauntlets you have to first wait for the episodes to be released. Then, you have to have a certain number of medallions. Those tallies are listed below. Normal Hard Very Hard Prerequisite ------ ---- --------- ------------ I II 162 Episode 1 III 198 Episode 1 IV 126 180 300 Episode 2 V 144 216 360 Episode 2 VI 260 320 400 Episode 3 VII 280 360 400 Episode 3 VIII 340 360 400 Episode 4 Omega --- --- 450 Episode 4 IX ??? ??? ??? ??? I have to fill in some blanks because I started this document after getting into the game. Therefore I don't know the medallion total requirement for the earlier levels. Can you help? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IV: The Toolbox =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= At first you can only equip parts that you obtain through evaluating albums. However, upon completing Gauntlet II on normal, you unlock the toolbox (found next to the weapon bench) where you can combine parts to make higher-level parts. This is integral to keeping your weapons brutal as the game progresses. I'm speculating on Toolbox Level 4. The pattern seems correct enough! Unlock Complete Cost Prerequisite ------ -------- ---- ------------ Toolbox Level 1 Gauntlet II (Normal) Toolbox Level 2 Gauntlet IV (Normal) 20,000 Episode 2 Toolbox Level 3 Gauntlet VI (Normal) 130,000 Episode 3 Toolbox Level 4 Gauntlet VIII ? 400,000 Episode 4 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= V: Red Queen System Messages =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= There is a total of 20 system messages. You can access these via the record player (voice log) in the vestibule. I don't know how to unlock some of these. 01: Introduction 02: Beat the first mission? 03: 04: 05: First stage cleared (By stage she means gauntlet, BTW) 06: Fifth stage cleared 07: 08: Second stage cleared 09: Sixth stage cleared 10: 11: Third stage cleared 12: Seventh stage cleared 13: 14: Fourth stage cleared 15: 16: 17: 18: 19: 20: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= VI: Raid Mode Records =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This section is really why I started this document. There is a lot to do and see and unlock in this game so let's get to it! You can see Raid Mode Records from the main menu or from the bulletin board in the vestibule. With a lot of information, I tried to keep this as easy-to-read as possible. The first column is the record, the second a concise description and the third is your reward. Those unlockables can be cash ($), parts (^) or gestures (+). Or it could be skill points. [Can these be obtained more than once with different characters?] Some of these I have yet to unlock (or aren't yet revealed as of episode 2). + indicates the unlockable is a Gesture ^ indicates the unlockable is a part (level in parentheses) Record Description Reward ------ ----------- ------ Raiders of the Evil Clear one mission $ 1,000 G Jammin' Evaluate an album $ 1,000 G I Saw, I Conquered Clear one Gauntlet ^ Damage (1) Expand Your Horizons Acquire one skill $ 2,000 G To The Limit Upgrade a skill to max + I'm So Excited Branching Out Acquire a different char's skill 5 Skill Points The Specialist Upgrade all skills to max (1 char) ??? The loot you obtain is colored according to rarity/value. The hierarchy of rarity for albums (common to rarest) is as follows: Black Gold Green Blue Red The loot you get from these chests will be either a Weapon (section VI below) or a Part (section VII below it!) Thus, this section is pretty much complete! The only suggestion I have is to sell off any lower-level weapons you unlock and to evaluate the rest. Evaluation costs are relatively low and worst case you can sell off the loot. Alternately, you'll want a lot of parts later on when you want to combine them for higher-level parts. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= VIII: Weapons =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I don't plan on going through the entire list of potential weapons here. They seem to be random and there is a huge amount of variations you might find. However, in order to unlock the Weapon Wizard Raid Record, you will need one of each of the weapons. [To Verify: Need all at once or to have owned them at one point?] Guns fall into six categories and you'll need all 24 to get Weapon Wizard. The number in parentheses indicates how many weapons in each category. Handguns (4) MPM P10 Samurai Edge Triple Shot Shotguns (4) M147S TAP194 Hydra Drake Machine Pistols (4) MP-AB50 MP-AB50G Chicago Typewriter MP-AF Assault Rifles (3) AK-7 NSR47 AR High Roller Sniper Rifles (4) M1891/30 SVD Anti-Materiel Rifle Muramasa Magnums (5) Model 329 2005M Python Anaconda Pale Rider These come in a number of flavors, sometimes gold, sometimes with unique setups or part attachments. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =-=-=-=-= IX: Parts =-=-=-=-= This is just a list of the parts I have obtained so far. There are almost certainly more. Some are very common, others (like S.T.A.R.S.) seem rather rare. Column 2 indicates the Max Level that part can be upgraded to. Not all parts fit all weapons. Most do. See (*) below for more information.
