After exhausting most of arcade and console rip possibilities, I went back and ripped some sprites from the WonderSwan version of Pocket Fighter. Just one frame stances and the logo for now.
Pocket Fighter (WonderSwan) Sprites
The animation in this game is quite fluid. The lack of color, on the other hand, reminds us that even in the year 2000, we weren't as far along as the number suggests! Just each character's standing animations are here. I didn't do full GIFs as cleaning them up would take too long.
