Once again this is more of an excuse to record than a genuinely good piece. It feels like it’s been forever. And getting back into the swing of things isn’t easy. This entire song is off time and getting my bass sound was a chore (thus it being low in the mix). BiasFX is being an asshole and wanting me to buy more stuff (no) and my input buffer seems longer, I swear (=delay between playing and recording). No excuses…it was more to just do something than to record this so try to enjoy it. :)

There’s no bass on this one. I’ll probably be selling my bass tomorrow. :( It’s good though. With madness looming, I figured I’d finish this one up. I’ve been working on it for a few days and I don’t want another unfinished song (you missed New 01 – 07, aren’t you upset?). Anyways, there are a few sloppy portions that I just didn’t bother to go back and fix. Hope you enjoy!

Time to start naming these fuckers…I had an epiphany and I think this should start sounding better than before. Here’s just a sample track, testing levels and new effects. Enjoy!

The BiasFX tests keep going forward. The last I posted was 15 and we’re now up to 23. I’m frustrated with finding a good sound as well as writing a good riff. It’s all around mediocre, really. So, why not fuck around with clean tones? Oh this one I like. As I approach the final days of school, I’ll be bidding adieu to some important people to me. Friends, coworkers, students. This minute-long nonsense is my ode to adiós…for what it’s worth. Enjoy.

A few steps forward, a step or two back. This one is better but I’m not fully happy. It gets really sloppy towards the end but since I likely won’t have time to go back to it in the coming days, here you go. It’s no Moonsorrow (NEXT WEEK!) but it’ll do for now. Enjoy!

I’ve been unhappy with my sound for quite some time now and so with new hardware (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 and a new PC upgrade), I wanted to up my game. I’ve been tinkering with Bias FX and this is the first test. I don’t know if it’s any better, but here’s a sample. See what you think!

Edit: I re-did the ending solos/harmonies. Here we have two versions of the same average song. Double the mediocrity!
